Business Resource Groups

Business Resource Groups within Williams serve as advocates of change in support of managing diversity and provide valuable insights to management on commercial issues, as well as employee relations. These groups are employee-driven and have the full support of Williams management team.

Williams currently has five groups:

  • African American Business Resource Group
  • Women’s Business Resource Group
  • Latino Business Resource Group
  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Business Resource Group
  • Native American Business Resource Group

We also have unique field business unit teams, known as Expanding the Possibility of an Inclusive Culture (EPIC) teams, which are designed to “make diversity and inclusion real” at every Williams work location throughout the company, whether a drilling operation or a pipeline station.

Keeping Track

We benchmark ourselves using best practice information from Catalyst, Diversity Inc, and Executive Leadership Council, so we can continually improve. One example of this is targeting recruitment efforts and scholarship programs to attract women and people of color to roles that have traditionally been held by men, such as technical and engineering positions.
